May 22-26, 2017

Welcome! Mighty Falcons!
The end of our school year is so near, and I'm sure you all are extremely excited.  You all must be looking forward to enjoying your summer vacation with family and friends.
You must keep in mind that we are still not done.  We are still going to continue reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  You all will be having short Quizzes and assignments on it, so you must make sure that you read.  As I have previously stated, you all are very intelligent, so I know that you all can do this.  It's just a few more days.
Remember that attendance is extremely important; therefore, make sure to be here everyday.  Oh! Of course inevitable situations are understandable.
Don't forget to make sure that you read Tuck Everlasting.  It's an amazing book that I'm sure you will enjoy.
Extra Credit: After viewing the clip, create a Venn Diagram in which you compare and contrast the reading and the clip you viewed.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

Week of May 15-19, 2017

Welcome Falcons!
What can I say... Well, the STAAR is over, and I'm sure you all are glad; however, that does not mean  we are going to stop learning.  There are always new things to learn, and you all do a great job of it.  We will be focusing on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.  I am really looking forward to what you all have discovered in the reading.  I'm certain that our class discussions will be amazing, so please make sure that you read.  You all will be having short quizzes before the class begins, so reading is a must and there is no way around it.
Attendance continues to be of great importance, so please make sure to show up everyday.   Remember that if you miss one day you miss out on instruction, so it's important that you attend school daily.  Oh! And as I have previously stated, I do understand inevitable situations.
This Friday we have our Field Trip so make sure you pack all of your necessities.  Try to stay away from packing unnecessary items.  It isn't fun to have your hands full.  Let's make sure to have a great time together.

Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

Week of May 8-12, 2017

Welcome Mighty Falcons!!!
It's finally here.  The week of the Reading STAAR has arrived.  Remember that you will be taking the Reading STAAR on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
I know that each and everyone of you is extremely intelligent and will do well.  Please make sure to remain focused and give it your 100%.  Remember to eat well, get a good night sleep, and get a good breakfast to have your brain up and running in the morning.  I can't stress enough that you need to make sure that you read and not just read, but you must read carefully.  Everything counts and  this way you don't overlook anything.  You don't want to miss that one question because you didn't read carefully.  Some of you have the tendency to rush because you want to finish, and then you have all of this extra time to do absolutely nothing.  Pace yourself, you know exactly what it is that you need to get done in order to come out on top.  I suggest you give it your all to show everyone what Ac2E Middle School has.
Remember that attendance is extremely important especially on testing days so do everything possible to be here and be here on time.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
Let's go 6th Grade Falcons!!!

May 1-5, 2017

Welcome Falcons!

Here we are one week before the STAAR, and we're still going strong.  I am extremely proud of all of you.  You all are doing really well, so let's keep giving it our all to reach that Level III.  I know that each and everyone of you can do it so don't cut yourself short and continue giving it your 100%.
Another thing that you need to remember is that it's important that you attend school daily.  Especially, during this time because as I have previously stated, it's crunch time.  Let's not forget, that unforeseen situations are understood; however, I'd love to have each and everyone of you be here daily.
Students, it's important that you know all of the Reading Strategies by now; therefore, you will be having a Quiz over them on Tuesday.  This will not be a Multiple Choice Test, so you must write everything down on your own (every single strategy).
We will be having Saturday tutoring these next two Saturdays, so I hope to continue seeing you all this Saturday and the following.

STAAR TEST DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

MATH STAAR- Monday, May 8, 2017
READING STAAR- Tuesday, May 9, 2017

    Welcome Mighty Falcons!

We are beginning another week, and it's crunch time!  Remember to stay focused and give it your all these last few weeks.
The STAAR is near, so don't forget how important it is to always come prepared to class, so that you don't waste any time.  As I have previously stated, each and everyone of you is extremely intelligent.  All you have to do is concentrate and do the best that you can Always.  You are too smart to limit yourself, so continue to give it your 110% All the time.
I must add that it's important that you attend school daily.  This is the only way that you will know exactly what is going on in class, and of course, let me add once again, that inevitable situations are understandable.
So... Let's do this Mighty Falcon 6th Grade!!! Let's Show Everyone what Ac2E Middle School has got!!!

Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
