Welcome Mighty Falcons!
I hope you all had a fabulous first week of school. I know I did, and I'm looking forward to another great one.
You all did Absolutely Amazing this past week. I was really impressed. I really do hope your behavior and attitude remains the same. I truly enjoyed the fact that you all didn't hesitate to do any of the activities or short class assignments. You all did extremely well. Please keep it up. I promise you that Great Attitudes + Great Minds = To Great Things! By following this, I can guarantee you that you will succeed in life.
Students, this week we will continue with Parts of Speech. Let's continue to give it our all, so that you can be prepared for next year. Do not forget that we are setting the foundation for what is to come in the future. This way you know everything that you need to for next year, and you don't feel lost and confused. I know I dislike that feeling, so let's do everything we can to get it together.
Oh! Let me remind you that if you ever feel that you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask. Sometimes others may have the same question, but they may be embarrassed to ask, and if you ask you aren't just helping yourself, but you may be helping your classmates as well.
Let's make this another Wonderful Week!
Please make sure to view the following video to get a preview at what we will be covering in the following weeks.
Welcome to the 2017-2018 academic year! I’m extremely excited
about this new school year. I must admit that I’m really looking forward to it,
and I really hope that you are too. We will be working diligently the entire
time; however, I can assure you that you will enjoy every second of it.
Now let me ask, “How many of you enjoy listening to music,
reading: comics, drama, horror stories, or poems?” Phenomenal writers do
those things and that’s exactly what I’m going to help you become. We will have class discussions, assignments,
and projects that you will present to your peers. I’m anxious to see what you
all have in store. There is no doubt in
my mind that each and every one of you is really smart and have numerous ideas
to share, so bring on the fun! Let’s
make it a fabulous year and give it all that we have to make it an amazing
school year!

Goals:
Students
will become avid writers and develop a better understanding of the writing
process. They are also to achieve and
maintain an “A” on ALL writing assignments, projects, quizzes, and the tests.
Grading:
Class
assignments, homework, journals, quizzes, and projects will account for 75% of
your six weeks grade. Your journal will account for 20% of your six weeks
grade. Your Tests/Exams will account for
25% of your six weeks grade.
The teacher
will not assign a grade of “A” for late work.
Be aware that 5 points will be
deducted per day for late work. If
work is turned in and is of good quality, it won’t be assigned a grade lower
than a “70.” Work that isn’t turned in will be recorded as M-missing on the student
portal so that grade reports will compute the grade as zero until handed in.
Homework/ Class Work Policy:
You are
expected to come to class prepared to learn.
This means having homework assignments completed before class begins
every day. You must also have pencil,
paper, and any other items needed for class every day.

Behavior
will be dealt by following the Discipline Plan outlined below. There will be no tolerance of the impeding of
others learning.

below that you and your child have read and discussed the Writing Syllabus for
this year. This section will be checked
off, cut, and turned into the teacher.
I must say that I am ecstatic about this school year! I can't wait to meet every single one of you. Let me add that we are beginning a new school year, and we must work together to ensure that each and every one of you continues to excel. You must remember that you are at Ac2E Middle School; therefore, it is your responsibility to make sure that you complete assignments, follow rules and expectations, and represent yourself and your schools adequately. There is no doubt in my mind that you all will do phenomenal, but you have to give it everything you've got because nothing happens on it's own. Evidently, we must work together and it's important to always remain positive in order to make sure that everyone succeeds. Remember that we are always learners, so I can always learn from you, and you can always learn from me.
Another thing that I feel is extremely important is that we respect each others ideas. Sometimes we think some ideas maybe silly; however, those silly ideas can really be life changing for others, so keep try to remain open-minded and not put anybody down.
Parents, if you all ever have any questions, please feel free to leave a message at front office, and I will return your phone call. Phone Number (956)352-6324 Let's make this a Sensational School Year! I found a back to school video. I hope you all enjoy it! Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

Welcome! Mighty Falcons!
What seemed so far is now so near. Yes... Students, here we are at the last week of school. I'm sure you all are ecstatic. I have to say it was definitely a pleasure having each and everyone of you. You all were definitely great. I have enjoyed having each and everyone of you.
This week we will still continue discussing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Monday and Tuesday and you all will work on some activities. Please make sure that you read because you all might have a Quiz.
Let me reiterate that you are all extremely intelligent, so continue to give it all you've got so that you can succeed. Each and everyone of you has the ability to be extremely successful, but I must add that it takes dedication, determination, and hard work, and to you all it should be a breeze, so stay focused.
Please don't forget that attendance is of extreme importance; therefore, try your best to be here daily and on time. As previously stated, inevitable situations are completely understandable. THIS SUMMER MAKE SURE TO READ: Tuck Everlasting Author: Natalie Babbitt (You will be having a Quiz on the 1st day of school as 7th graders, so I suggest you read.)
I've included a Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Video. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
Welcome! Mighty Falcons!
The end of our school year is so near, and I'm sure you all are extremely excited. You all must be looking forward to enjoying your summer vacation with family and friends.
You must keep in mind that we are still not done. We are still going to continue reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. You all will be having short Quizzes and assignments on it, so you must make sure that you read. As I have previously stated, you all are very intelligent, so I know that you all can do this. It's just a few more days.
Remember that attendance is extremely important; therefore, make sure to be here everyday. Oh! Of course inevitable situations are understandable.
Don't forget to make sure that you read Tuck Everlasting. It's an amazing book that I'm sure you will enjoy. Extra Credit: After viewing the clip, create a Venn Diagram in which you compare and contrast the reading and the clip you viewed.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
Welcome Falcons!
What can I say... Well, the STAAR is over, and I'm sure you all are glad; however, that does not mean we are going to stop learning. There are always new things to learn, and you all do a great job of it. We will be focusing on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. I am really looking forward to what you all have discovered in the reading. I'm certain that our class discussions will be amazing, so please make sure that you read. You all will be having short quizzes before the class begins, so reading is a must and there is no way around it.
Attendance continues to be of great importance, so please make sure to show up everyday. Remember that if you miss one day you miss out on instruction, so it's important that you attend school daily. Oh! And as I have previously stated, I do understand inevitable situations.
This Friday we have our Field Trip so make sure you pack all of your necessities. Try to stay away from packing unnecessary items. It isn't fun to have your hands full. Let's make sure to have a great time together.
Welcome Mighty Falcons!!!
It's finally here. The week of the Reading STAAR has arrived. Remember that you will be taking the Reading STAAR on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
I know that each and everyone of you is extremely intelligent and will do well. Please make sure to remain focused and give it your 100%. Remember to eat well, get a good night sleep, and get a good breakfast to have your brain up and running in the morning. I can't stress enough that you need to make sure that you read and not just read, but you must read carefully. Everything counts and this way you don't overlook anything. You don't want to miss that one question because you didn't read carefully. Some of you have the tendency to rush because you want to finish, and then you have all of this extra time to do absolutely nothing. Pace yourself, you know exactly what it is that you need to get done in order to come out on top. I suggest you give it your all to show everyone what Ac2E Middle School has.
Remember that attendance is extremely important especially on testing days so do everything possible to be here and be here on time.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
Here we are one week before the STAAR, and we're still going strong. I am extremely proud of all of you. You all are doing really well, so let's keep giving it our all to reach that Level III. I know that each and everyone of you can do it so don't cut yourself short and continue giving it your 100%. Another thing that you need to remember is that it's important that you attend school daily. Especially, during this time because as I have previously stated, it's crunch time. Let's not forget, that unforeseen situations are understood; however, I'd love to have each and everyone of you be here daily. Students, it's important that you know all of the Reading Strategies by now; therefore, you will be having a Quiz over them on Tuesday. This will not be a Multiple Choice Test, so you must write everything down on your own (every single strategy). We will be having Saturday tutoring these next two Saturdays, so I hope to continue seeing you all this Saturday and the following. STAAR TEST DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
MATH STAAR- Monday, May 8, 2017 READING STAAR- Tuesday, May 9, 2017
