Week of May 29- June 2, 2017

Welcome! Mighty Falcons!
What seemed so far is now so near.  Yes... Students, here we are at the last week of school.  I'm sure you all are ecstatic.  I have to say it was definitely a pleasure having each and everyone of you.  You all were definitely great.  I have enjoyed having each and everyone of you.
This week we will still continue discussing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Monday and Tuesday and you all will work on some activities.  Please make sure that you read because you all might have a Quiz.
Let me reiterate that you are all extremely intelligent, so continue to give it all you've got so that you can succeed.  Each and everyone of you has the ability to be extremely successful, but I must add that it takes dedication, determination, and hard work, and to you all it should be a breeze, so stay focused.
Please don't forget that attendance is of extreme importance; therefore, try your best to be here daily and on time.  As previously stated, inevitable situations are completely understandable.
THIS SUMMER MAKE SURE TO READ: Tuck Everlasting
                                                             Author: Natalie Babbitt
(You will be having a Quiz on the 1st day of school as 7th graders, so I suggest you read.)
I've included a Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Video.  I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

May 22-26, 2017

Welcome! Mighty Falcons!
The end of our school year is so near, and I'm sure you all are extremely excited.  You all must be looking forward to enjoying your summer vacation with family and friends.
You must keep in mind that we are still not done.  We are still going to continue reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  You all will be having short Quizzes and assignments on it, so you must make sure that you read.  As I have previously stated, you all are very intelligent, so I know that you all can do this.  It's just a few more days.
Remember that attendance is extremely important; therefore, make sure to be here everyday.  Oh! Of course inevitable situations are understandable.
Don't forget to make sure that you read Tuck Everlasting.  It's an amazing book that I'm sure you will enjoy.
Extra Credit: After viewing the clip, create a Venn Diagram in which you compare and contrast the reading and the clip you viewed.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

Week of May 15-19, 2017

Welcome Falcons!
What can I say... Well, the STAAR is over, and I'm sure you all are glad; however, that does not mean  we are going to stop learning.  There are always new things to learn, and you all do a great job of it.  We will be focusing on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.  I am really looking forward to what you all have discovered in the reading.  I'm certain that our class discussions will be amazing, so please make sure that you read.  You all will be having short quizzes before the class begins, so reading is a must and there is no way around it.
Attendance continues to be of great importance, so please make sure to show up everyday.   Remember that if you miss one day you miss out on instruction, so it's important that you attend school daily.  Oh! And as I have previously stated, I do understand inevitable situations.
This Friday we have our Field Trip so make sure you pack all of your necessities.  Try to stay away from packing unnecessary items.  It isn't fun to have your hands full.  Let's make sure to have a great time together.

Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez

Week of May 8-12, 2017

Welcome Mighty Falcons!!!
It's finally here.  The week of the Reading STAAR has arrived.  Remember that you will be taking the Reading STAAR on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
I know that each and everyone of you is extremely intelligent and will do well.  Please make sure to remain focused and give it your 100%.  Remember to eat well, get a good night sleep, and get a good breakfast to have your brain up and running in the morning.  I can't stress enough that you need to make sure that you read and not just read, but you must read carefully.  Everything counts and  this way you don't overlook anything.  You don't want to miss that one question because you didn't read carefully.  Some of you have the tendency to rush because you want to finish, and then you have all of this extra time to do absolutely nothing.  Pace yourself, you know exactly what it is that you need to get done in order to come out on top.  I suggest you give it your all to show everyone what Ac2E Middle School has.
Remember that attendance is extremely important especially on testing days so do everything possible to be here and be here on time.
Thank you,
Ms. Narvaez
Let's go 6th Grade Falcons!!!
